LINE OF ACTION
Our society has been created to protect animals from misery and to improve their life conditions in the French Guadeloupe islands. And you can help us.
When we are able to spay/neuter a dog or a cat, we save dozens of animals from misery. When we are able to get one animal out of the streets, this animal is saved.
The proliferation of the stray dogs in Guadeloupe is the consequence of the huge amount of puppies and dogs abandoned by their owners.
To fight against the dogs misery, we try to spay and neuter a maximum of dogs who still have an owner.
We also try to spay/neuter a maximum of cats, having an owner or living free.But to prepare the future, we also try to organize campaigns:
- To educate the owners to take care of their animals properly
- To inform the people about the necessity to respect animals. Those campaigns concentrate especially on children information, through courses and meetings in the schools.
Concerning abandoned dogs and cats, we are trying to save as much as possible of them, but there are so many... when we still have so limited possibilities...

SITUATION IN GUADELOUPE
French laws for the protection of the animals are not perfect, but when those laws are never enforced, can you imagine the consequences?Dogs
In Guadeloupe, 65% of dogs having an owner live permanently chained up, without a collar to protect their neck from chain or rope damages, and with a chain length under 2,30 meters (when law says 3,50 meters length minimum). The average life expectancy of those dogs is 2 or 3 years (11years in metropolitan France).
When puppies and dogs become undesirable, they are poisoned or thrown alive into the garbage dump. Those surviving to this treatment then will increase the huge number of stray dogs, roughly treated by people...
Cats
A cat is generally considered as nothing. Cats are run over, poisoned, chained up, and sometimes eaten...
Other animals
Rearing animals such as cows, goats, etc are badly treated as well.
